Class Levels Schedule Registration Staff Location

Calphin Aquatic Club has several guidelines and policies regarding swim lesson program:  
Current Schedule (subject to change without notice):

Fremont Site (Indoor Pool) Jan 17 - Apr 3, 2009 (Winter)
* Monday to  Friday: 3pm-8:00am (Lesson/Team)
* Saturday: 8am-11am (Team Practice Only)  1pm-6pm (Lesson)

* Sunday: 8am-6pm (Lesson/Team)

Self Practice Time:

Due to NO make up class, we offer Self Practice time for swimmers who missed their class, so they can practice what they have learned by themselves.

No swim instructors will be available during the practice time, but lifeguard will be on duty.

It is open to all current registered swimmers and each swimmer may receive up to 2 free tickets in each session at front desk. 

Swimmers who are in Intermediate I class or lower must swim with an adult.  It costs $4.00 for each adult to swim with that swimmer.

We only take 50 swimmers in each Self Practice time, first come, first serve.

* Sunday - 12:00-1:00PM

Holidays
* November 27, 2008 – Thursday; Closed (Thanksgiving)
* November 30, 2008  - Thursday: closed (Thanksgiving weekend)
* December 20, 2008 -  January 4, 2009; Closed  (Christmas. New Year)

Credits and Refunds
The registration minimum is 4 students for all levels of swim lessons (2 for Bubbler /30min lesson).  The Calphin Aquatic Club will make every effort to combine or reschedule classes with low enrollment. Please be aware that your class may be cancelled if enrollment is low and in that case a credit or refund will be issued at this time.  

• Program Fees – No transfer, credits or refunds will be issued without a WRITTEN MEDICAL EXCUSE.

No Refund/Cancellation after 1st day of the class.

Make up lessons are a service provided for illness only.  Children are allowed 2 make up lessons per swimming session due to illness.

Self practice will be available for any other missed classes.

Bounced check subjected to $25 charge.

1st time rescheduleing class is free in each session, There is $20 processing fee for each class reschedule or transfer request after the first day of the program

For cancellations prior to a program starting, one of the following may be requested (approval required):
•  Transfer to another program location. but there is $20 processing fee for 2nd and following class reschedule or transfer requests.
  

General Pool Rules

Members/participants are asked to follow our Rules at all times.  Please ask a lifeguard if you have any questions

• Showers are required by California States Law before swimming.

• Lifeguard have the authority to stop any activity that is deemed unsafe.

• Nylon or polyester swimsuits and swim trunks only (no cotton)

• No running or horseplay; Diving allowed only in indoor pool deep end (7feet). No back dives, twists, or flips.  No hanging on lane lines.

• All pool toys and equipment must be approved by the lifeguard.

• Youth age 6 and under must swim with an adult, within arm's reach during open/self practice swim time.

• Children age 7-12 must pass a swim test of 25yds freestyle and backstroke, 1 min treading water and jump into the pool and recover to swim without an adult in the pool.

• Children not toilet trained or under the age of 3, must wear approved swim diapers.

 
Lost and Found The CAC is not responsible for lost or stolen articles on our premises programs.

Additional Policies
• The CAC is a smoke-free, tobacco-free and drug-free environment. Smoking is prohibited on all CAC property.
• Members and program participants are expected to wear clothing appropriate for the activities which they are participating in, and may not be overly revealing or offensive to the general membership. This includes, but is not limited to any attire or visible tattoos that contain offensive, vulgar, and/or obscene material. Additionally, shoes and shirts are required for everyone in the building.
• Adults/legal guardians must supervise their child(ren)/minor dependents in the facility at all times.
• The CAC cannot guarantee or accept responsibility for the security of personal belongings anywhere on the premises, including those locked in lockers.
• Cell phone and/or camera usage is NOT permitted in any of our locker rooms at any time.

Calphin Aquatic Club (CAC) reserves the right to deny or cancel the membership/program of any person at any time.
